Privacy Policy
This basic policy describes what information Currency Competition may collect, how it is used, and the choices available to you.
Last updated June 3, 2026
Information we collect
We may collect information you provide or generate when using the service, including connected wallet addresses, payment request details, transaction identifiers, selected amounts, quote information, session data, and app interactions.
If you use location or map features, your browser or device may provide location information so the app can show nearby merchants. If you scan a QR code, camera access is handled by your browser or device so the app can read the code you choose to scan.
Information from third parties
We may receive or process information from connected wallets, payment providers, blockchain networks, merchant data providers, map providers, authentication providers, and infrastructure services that help operate the app.
Public blockchains are public by design. Wallet addresses, transactions, amounts, tokens, timing, and related metadata may be visible to anyone and may be retained independently of this service.
How we use information
We use information to operate the service, connect wallets, prepare quotes, submit and verify payments, show merchant and map features, prevent abuse, debug issues, improve reliability, and comply with legal obligations.
We may use aggregated or de-identified information to understand service usage and improve the product.
How we share information
We may share information with service providers that support hosting, analytics, authentication, wallet connection, payment processing, maps, merchant data, fraud prevention, customer support, and security.
We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect rights and safety, to investigate abuse, or as part of a merger, financing, acquisition, or similar business transaction.
Storage and security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, but no internet or blockchain-based service can be guaranteed to be fully secure.
We retain information for as long as needed to provide the service, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, and maintain business records.
Your choices
You can limit browser permissions such as camera or location access through your device or browser settings. Some features may not work if those permissions are disabled.
You can disconnect your wallet through the app or wallet interface. Disconnecting a wallet does not remove public blockchain activity or records already processed by third-party services.
Updates and contact
We may update this policy by posting a new version in the app. The updated policy applies when posted unless it says otherwise.
Questions about this policy can be sent to the Currency Competition team through the contact channel provided in the app or website where you accessed the service.
